After weeks of preparation, I am absolutely thrilled to meet my new cohort for IBDP music next Tuesday. We will start with lessons in class, however with many safety restrictions.
My first unit will be "Getting to know you - and the curriculum". In my opinion, it is important that the students understand the different components of the course. I will wait with the assessment portfolios for a while- but they need to know the basics and terminology. They should feel comfortable using the different lenses when they perform, create, and analyse the music.
I create this overview. It will be the starting point for several mini assignments. Having a simple overview will hopefully help them to feel comfortable with the new requirements.
